God How I Envy The Deaf

tomsaildrums Warm and bright, Envy the Deaf leans towards the odder side of stoner rock. Extremely ideas-heavy, the record is sprightly and deft even when it spins off into new and exciting sonic territory and cycles through rhythmic changes and flourishes. A lot to take in for sure, but not a difficult record by any stretch.

Nuno Lourenço What if the Cardiacs were playing in a psych/stoner aesthetic but keeping the same attitude towards genre melting exploration and not giving a f*ck on how people gonna genre frame you? Well, this bunch of particularly talented musicians is doing it. Awesome music that combines prog, stoner, punk, psych, space, etc, etc! Favorite track: Taos Lightning.

Andreas Muhr Crossover in a very special way: if Sonic Youth were locked in a rehearsal room with At The Drive-In and QOTSA, it could probably sound like this.
